Painting #16 of my Painting A Day project. I've been wanting to paint one of these colorful birds for awhile - I think I have seen one here in Colorado, although this is not its usual territory. The abstracted background suggests an aerial landscape view - another thing I've wanted to paint. I love looking at the landscape designs from the window of an airplane!
