Painting #15 of my Painting a Day project. The bison is back! I haven't painted a bison yet in this series - last night it was a duel between Elk and Bison...Bison won! I wasn't sure how I was going to handle the background on this one, but had the idea that I wanted a "halo" around her head, signifying the sacredness of the bison and her importance in our survival as human inhabitants of this planet. Sold at the Western Spirit miniature Art Show.
